Launch here for upstream paddling, downstream is a big weir. You can always do up to about Haydon Bridge from here and there is access under the Tyne Agreement. Beyond that, it gets quite shallow so the Tyne Agreement so between April and September it should only be travelled when in spate (meant to protect the habitats here) I know the first few miles are paddled regularly by the canoe club here so check their timings, when they're not about the slipway is clear.
Park at the canoe club if not Saturday or Wednesday. If those days, the big Mills carpark nearby is never full.

Must go upstream from here, the weir is pretty big and not advised to try and run. Calm water mostly, a few more adventurous bits further up but nothing major.
