Ardtoe Jetty

Body of Water

Camas Clachach

Description

Also known as Wol's favourite place. Stone jetty with crystal clear waters. If you are on holiday, take some crabbing lines, you'll catch all sorts for your tea. Otters hang out round here at daybreak/twilight and it's a lovely trip round the peninsula to Singing Sands (would recommend camping there, it's just stunning and so quiet). They work on the buoys here too so if you time it right you can get a load of fresh mussels for your tea when they bring them out of the water to fix them.

Parking Information

Limited parking for 3 or 4 cars. Please don't block the Jetty, it is a working jetty so you do get some fisherman coming in.

Free Parking

Yes

Launching Information

Stone jetty. There is a beach nearby too, but the jetty is easy to be honest.

Free Launching

Yes

Paddling Information

Shallow bay that opens out, so as long as the weather is good you should be fine. 100% recommend the trip to Singing Sands and back, it's a short ish paddle but worth it.
